Alternate Universe: Redskins vs Cowboys Game
I watched the Cowboys play against the Redskins on Sunday Sept. 28, 2008 at 4:15 pm. I only have one question, "What happened?" Everyone including the NFL sportscasters knew that the Cowboys were going to kill the Redskins...like we always do. LOL. Most of the time when we play against the Redskins it is almost a given we will win. Every so often the Redskins grow some balls and bet us. However, this time it was like watching a train wreck. You want to look away but you just can't. Not saying my team didn't give it their all but there were a couple of moments there I was wondering did I step into the Twilight Zone. The Redskins actually played a great game. There players are actually stepping up to the plate and putting forth some real skills. Who knew that they could mustard enough skills to not only compete but beat us? I sat on the edge of my seat through out the whole game, praying for a miracle. The score would go up and down. First we would be ahead and then they would be, it was great. I love games like that were if you miss a minute of it you are lost. However true to Redskins style they made some seriously bonehead moves. For instances, not keeping their feet planted on the ground until the ball is in motion and grapping face masks. These slip ups cost them yards and two touchdowns, thank you Casey Rabach. It gave us an advantage but, in the end it wasn't enough. But that is because some of the passes we through didn't connect like they should have...what was Romo and Owens doing. The passes through to Owens should have connected and the game would have been over, in favor for the Cowboys. By the time the scoreboard read 26-24 I was seriously wondering had I been punk'd or did I fall into an Alternate Universe. We need to do better guys. Don't worry Redskins we will see you again on Nov. 16, 2008 and I promise you we will be ready this time!
