Cowboy Nation

Burn baby Burn.

They say in any major fire, walk don’t run to the nearest exists.  So when every major sports media chain declares panic in Big D, only the fair-weather fans will run.  Is there reason to panic?  Oh yes, yes there is.  Am I going to run out of the building with my hair on fire?  Hell no.  I want you to know Nation, that I sat through that whole game, second by painful second, experiencing in disbelieve as I’m sure all Cowboy fans did, the absolute horror so close to Halloween.  No, I won’t run, I will stand by this horrid affair, but I’ll tell you what I want Nation.

I want the head of Brian Stewart.

Why?  Why do you ask, why would I want something so absolutely ridiculous 7 games into the season?  Because somebody has to pay, that’s why.  Because Jerry Jones has already declared that Wade Phillips’ job is safe, as well it should be (barring a few more blowouts).  But we lack the intensity on the defensive side of the ball.  Listen, I know the offense was every bit as guilty in that ridiculous loss to the Rams.  The Offensive line lost focus.  Run blocking, pass protection was off.  WAY OFF.  Three interceptions and a few fumbles.  Careless mistakes and costly penalties.  But I guarantee you; no one will call for Jason Garrett’s resignation.  And special teams haven’t been special at all.  Kick returns for touchdowns against us, blocked punts.  And the latest missed field goal, this is all too much.  Maybe Bruce Read, the Special Teams coach should go too?  Have you seen this guy’s picture on Dallas Cowboys.com?  He looks like a 70’s porn star.  Trust me, take a look, I’ll wait.  See, I’d never steer you wrong.  Off with his head.  Bring back that old corps Joe Avezanno, BRING BACK SOMEBODY WITH THEIR HEAD SCREWED ON STRAIGHT AND WHO IS LOOKING TO WIN FOOTBALL GAMES.  Sorry guys, I went a little Jonesy there.

Stewart, in his second year with Dallas, has posted decent credentials.  His first full season he amassed a 9th ranked Defense, with 5 pro bowlers.  Yet as the media hangs Romo on two losses in the post season, every freakin chance they get, it was the Defense that folded.  Sure he fumbled the snap on the field goal in
Seattle.  But we should have never needed that field goal to win.  Sure that interception in the winding moments of the Giants game last season in Dallas cost us a chance at the NFC Championship game.  But the Giants should have never been in a position to have the lead in the fourth quarter!  Never!  Defense wins championships.  I’m sure you’ve all heard this before.  Believe it, it’s true.  If Jones is going to pay a high price for a wide receiver that had no catches in his first game, then divvy up for some defense chops.  Put Stewart on a silver platter as a sacrifice to the fans, and bring in a defensive genius, a defensive guru.    Someone who will not allow 21 points in the first quarter to the Rams.  THE RAMS!  I know what you’re thinking, isn’t that Bum Jr’s job?  Yes it is, but the man needs help.  Hell Jerry, why stop at 45 million for one guy?  How much is Tennessee’s defense going for?  Buy the whole lot of ‘em, coordinator included.

But I digress.  The core defensive players we have right now are among the most talented in the league.  There is no excuse for this type of play with that type of talent.

Nation, we look for improvement in our team against Tampa Bay.  I hope they are just as disgusted with themselves as we are, more so in fact.  Because if we don’t get it, then someone will have to pay.  And you already know what I want.  What do you want?  Leave your comments with the NATION, because I want to know what  AMERICA's fan is thinking.

To Tampon Bay!

  1. You should want the Head of the person who hired these people....That's the Key if you hired them you are the Idiot not the pople who suck. Cuz they sucked before you came along feel me. Fire them and hire someone else, like another backup, another Coaching staff, another secondary...etc...etc.

I feel your pain man...but it is hilarious to watch the joke these guys are, I quite enjoy it so!

  2. Thanks for your comment.  I feel ya, i feel ya dog.  We should fire Jerry Jones, hmm....not sure that's possible.  I'd love to try.  But, as luck would have it, Coach Phillips has restricted Brian Sterwart from calling defensive plays.  Feel me?  That's right, i called it.  He's still the defensive coordinater, but only in title.  Bun Jr. will be calling the plays against Tampa.  Damn i'm good.  Someone had to pay, and Brian is paying with a little humiliation.  Good enough, i'll take it.  Don't know if that'll rebound the defense, we'll have to wait and see.
