Cowboy Nation

It's hump day, and the collective wheels are beginning to grind in Cowboy Country.  With what appears to be a must win on Sunday, Dallas is in the process of re-arming their team decimated by injury.  Who's back you ask, well lets just say everybody that was in game 1 with the exception of Adam Jones.

It's been just about a month since anyone has seen the punch-drunk CB, and just as well.  I predicted a month ago that the press would forget about him.  They did.  The fans have forgotten about him.  Cowboy Nation has forgotten about him (till now).  Out of drunken sight, out of mind I guess.  But here's to Adam Jones, may you find the error of your ways, and successfully complete your rehab program.  About a month ago, I also predicted that Pacman would punch one of his instructors/councilors at the facility he is currently staying at.  So far, no news on that front, but there is still time.  Curious to see if Commish Roger Goodell will reinstate Pacman.  It's 50/50, much like Clinton Portis' availability for Sunday night's showdown.  Portis will play of course, but that's just fine with the Cowboys.  Nothing like beating a team at it's best.

In other Redskin news, former Washington linebacker LaVar Arrington called his old coach Joe Gibbs a coward.  He went on to say that current owner Dan Synder is quote, "scared to death of me."  While those of us that follow the other 31 teams could care less about these three idiots, the Nation would like to point this out simply because it Washington.  Ain't hate grand?  LaVar, you're retired, no one cares.

The latest today?  Felix Jones is still not practicing.  In a game where Tony Romo's return is seen as the second coming, no player is needed more than Felix Jones.  We here at the Nation love Marion the Barbarian.  But he simply is not a single game back, like Emmitt was.  Felix is a game braker, Felix is point maker, he can do it on Offense and Special Teams.  The Cowboys need him back, as Troy Aikman would say, without question.  Felix is making his old running mate, Darren Mcfadden, look like a loser.  The Raiders are feeling pretty stupid right now.  So far Coach Phillips is saying that Felix Jones is still rehabing.  This is not good for Dallas.  It's possible Jones may be out.  We'll check back on Friday's practice.  As of right now, Tashard Choice needs to have more work with the starters.  If Jones doesn't go, Choice will need a larger role.  Barber responses better in a change up role, whether he starts, or comes off the bench.  This needs to be a two back game against the Redskins.  Having one of the original offensive line guys back, Kyle Kosier, will help tremendously.  Come Sunday, a lot of questions will be answered.  Hopefully, the flight back to Dallas Sunday night will be a pleasant one, rather than a self destructive one.
