Giants win. It's not like we didn't see this coming. It's not like we expected Brad Johnson to be this 40-year-old superman overnight. Anyone with half a brain (I mean you Shesawn) could see that Dallas limped into Giant stadium, just about half the team they were when they started the season. Yet the Giants celebrated like they won the Super Bowl in November. That just speaks volumes.
This is not a shock to Cowboys fans. There was a glimmer of hope, but after that first offensive series by the Giants, we all knew it would be a miracle to keep up. It was clear that Brad Johnson forgot to take his Metamucil and decided to help New York by turning it over twice, and allowing some sacks. That guy has got to go. He proves that experience counts for nothing once you pass a certain age, right John McCain? 40 is the new 80 by football standards. Or maybe Brad just looks like the mummy unwrapped standing next to Brooks Bollinger. Is that kid 18 or what? Brooks didn't start off on the right foot, but he clearly was better. He looks like a back up. Brad Johnson looks like my grandfather in a football costume. Hey Brad, Halloween is over, take off that uniform. (That's not all together fair, Brad is only a few years older than me.) His time has come, I don't expect to see Johnson next year on any team.

March of the Spurs 11/05/08
0-3
Those numbers do not look good. Three games into the season and the Spurs have yet to win a game. Is it time to panic? Clearly, it's not. However, do any Spurs fans remember going 0-3 this early in the season? Tim Duncan and Tony Parker are doing their part. Roger Mason Jr. and George Hill played well. This was George's first game, and there were some positive things, but where are the rest? 17 point loss, this does not sit well with the Maverick haters in the San Antonio area. As I'm sure I'll say all month, we miss Manu. He is the missing piece of the puzzle that has resulted in an early defeated season. Never have I craved for December as much as I am now, unless you count my childhood days. But much like Santa Claus, Manu could very well deliver wins as much needed gifts early in the season. Still 79 games to go, so 0-3, statistically not bad. Win one though, ok?

Friends, Americans, Countrymen, lend me your football experience. I needs to wrap up as much as possible and send it to the main offices in Valley Ranch.
The Dallas Cowboys are suffering Nation. They have fallen off the highest mantle of expectation in the NFL. Once hailed as the 'sure thing' in this year's Super Bowl, now just another forgotten heap of scrap metal set aside on the road to Tampa. Boy did Jerry Jones spend his cash wisely. Fresh off the "Hard Knocks" HBO series, which began and ended with TO jogging shirtless, Dallas appeared to have the map, GPS, and itinerary all set with a showdown with whoever the AFC victim would be in Florida. A lot has happened in nine short weeks. It all began with a win against Green Bay. A blue print was set in motion with how to contain TO. Ever since that game, opposing teams has strived to perfect it. Washington achieved that goal and shut down TO and the run, and ever since then, the season has been lost.

It's hump day, and the collective wheels are beginning to grind in Cowboy Country. With what appears to be a must win on Sunday, Dallas is in the process of re-arming their team decimated by injury. Who's back you ask, well lets just say everybody that was in game 1 with the exception of Adam Jones.
It's been just about a month since anyone has seen the punch-drunk CB, and just as well. I predicted a month ago that the press would forget about him. They did. The fans have forgotten about him. Cowboy Nation has forgotten about him (till now). Out of drunken sight, out of mind I guess. But here's to Adam Jones, may you find the error of your ways, and successfully complete your rehab program. About a month ago, I also predicted that Pacman would punch one of his instructors/councilors at the facility he is currently staying at. So far, no news on that front, but there is still time. Curious to see if Commish Roger Goodell will reinstate Pacman. It's 50/50, much like Clinton Portis' availability for Sunday night's showdown. Portis will play of course, but that's just fine with the Cowboys. Nothing like beating a team at it's best.

One win.
A statement was made late Sunday night. The Statement? We're back! The return of many injured players excluding the Jones boys Felix and Adam, sparked the running game and brought life to the defense for the first time in over a month. Both sides of the ball played well. Tony Romo returned, putting up numbers like Brad Johnson, yet it didn't look quite the same. After getting off to a rusty start, Romo was able to navigate the boys through bumpy terrain that is the Washington defense. He had two interceptions, one that was his fault and one that was TO's fault. TO proves that it didn't matter who the quarterback was, he was going to put up an average game. On the other side, Roy Williams put up similiar numbers as TO, but most of his receptions came off of drive saving first downs. In such a short time, Roy Williams has suddenly become more valuable than TO, playing with heart. Don't tell me that Cowboys' fans don't appreciate the first down signal from the receiver, once he gets it for his team. Kind of reminds me of another guy who used to do that? Anyone? Rhymes with Treytaker? Anyone, anyone remember...HOFer. First name the same as one of the Jackson five? Anyone?
