Adam Jones' attorney Worrick Robinson comments on Pacman's status for reinstatement...
"I have been in contact with the commissioner's office since last week, and they are reviewing Adam's unique situation. There is no timetable for a decision. He is glad to be back in Dallas," Robinson wrote ESPN's Ed Werder in a series of text messages Tuesday.

I don't think that Pacman is very high on the Commisioner's "To-Do List." With today's meetings with the multitude of players regarding the positive test for "water pills", and the lingering effects of the Steelers-Chargers debacle, I would guess that no decision will be made for at least a couple of weeks.

Continue reading "Pacman Getting Closer to Reinstatement"

Hmmm... Jerry Jones started this circus by trading for him in the offseason. Adam Jones has always been a walking timebomb, and you knew it was only a matter of time. With the stated 4-game suspension over, is there a chance that he will be reinstated, and more importantly will the Cowboys welcome him back?

Personally, I hope not, but this team clearly needs help in the secondary and Pacman can provide it. With Newman back healthy again, Dallas needs another corner. Newman has proven the ability to shut down the #1 receiver, but the lack of experience with the other DB's could make for difficult matchups. I just wonder how many chances Jerry Jones will continue to give Adam Jones.

I am all about second and even third chances, but given the delicate state of this team, I am not sure that welcoming Pacman back would be a good idea. I guess only time will tell... Stay tuned!

Continue reading "Pacman reinstatement Should he play again for the Cowboys"

In just a few minutes last nite it was very easy to see how much the Cowboys have missed Tony Romo. His presence on the field immediately lifted the spirit of the team. His pinkie finger was not an issue and he returned with the "gunslinger" mentaility that has lifted him to become one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL. Although defensively it was a shaky beginning, they hung tough and allowed the offense to take the lead in the 4th quarter.

Am I the only one that wondered how Clinton Portis was listed as doubtful and unlikely to play, but yet entered the game with no ill effects of the apparent MCL strain. Maybe it was a typical NFL ploy to force the Cowboys to scheme for another gameplan, but the defense came prepared and proved that, when healthy, they are a force to be reckoned with.

Continue reading "Cowboy Nation - Is Romo the answer to the playoffs I think so"
