I've been following the Dallas Cowboys as America's team since 1960, when I believe the first Q-Back was Eddie LeBarron. Later, the Cowboys had such stalwarts as Dandy Don Meredith, the great Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman - count them, three Super Bowl Rings - and, of course, the latest great Q-Back, Tony Romo. Although we hadn't won any pre-season games, I knew the Cowboys would eventually get it all together and begin to make their mark. Yesterday's game against the Houston Texans is a case in point. The Cowboy's first offensive unit exhibited its power running, power passing, and power defense. Although the Texans caught up to the Cowboys in the last quarter, if the first team defense had been in, the Texans wouldn't have been able to muster any offense. But, you know, we've got a long season ahead of us and anything can happen. I predict, however, that this year the Cowboys will not only make it to the Super Bowl, they will win it. Thus, removing the onus from Tony Romo that he can't win a playoff game. This is the Cowboy's year. This year Tony Romo will prove to everyone that not only is he a great Q-Back, but he's a great Q-Back who will guide the Cowboys to the Super Bowl and will, of course, win it. A ring for the pinkie of the left hand, because the right hand is completely full. Go, Cowboys! Make us proud!
