Isn't It Poor Taste for USA Players to Discuss Playing Overseas during the Olympics? posted on 08/10/2008
First the U.S. loses a bunch of nobodies to foreign teams, now some of our prized NBA players are saying they'd consider offers from International teams.
My God, the American team is supposed to be playing for the Gold, and LeBron and Kobe are talking about possible lucrative deals to play elsewhere. This might just be more inappropriate than showing George Bush on television after each American victory.
These men should be honored to be playing on the USA team, and yet here they are (some, not all) expressing an interest in leaving the basketball association that has made them recognizable throughout the world.
As far as the socialization/ cultural factor- perhaps Kobe, who speaks multiple languages would be able to assimilate well in another country, seeing as though he did such growing up. But LeBron... Mr. Overgrown/Please don't stick a mic in my face because I won't know how to put my thoughts into words my want to stay right there in Cleveland after these Beijing Games.

Special Teams Unit Needs Help posted on 08/10/2008
If Saturday night's preseason game exposed a huge weakness for the Cowboys, it was that horrible Special Teams unit. My goodness, I think I could've gotten to the 50 with my eyes closed each time the Boys' were forced to kick. Here's a thought: let's go find Joe Avazzano. I loved the crazy guy. His emotion was incredible, and I think he'd be great for the young Special Teams unit.
Other than that, I think the Cowboys first unit was pretty smooth. Romo didn't show any signs of Jessica daydreams, and it was really good to see Pacman (excuse me, Mr. Adam Jones) take the field. I'm also thinking that our RB Felix Jones was a great pick.
What can I say, I'm pretty anxious over here...

Cowboys New Stadium posted on 07/01/2008
So, a couple of days ago I decided to drive a few blocks down from the workplace to the new Cowboys stadium. Let's just call it: The Monstrosity. I'm still having a hard time believing Jerry and the crew decided to start this billion dollar project in the congested where it's going up.
If you're familiar with the Dallas area (Arlington to be exact) then you know that in the very area where the stadium is going up, there is also the Ballpark for the Texas Rangers, parking for Six Flags over Texas, as well as a very busy Wal-Mart and several retail stores. Can you say "HELL" on gameday???
To top off this horrible planning the new stadium is projected to have less than 15,000 parking spaces, while the stadium holds 80,000. My calculations suggest several cars will be out of luck. And so much for the assumption that families will be arriving in the mini-van...(mom, dad, and the three kids). No way none of that.
