eep.  To give you an idea of how ridiculous this situation has gotten, Vince Young  and David Garrard are going to the Pro Bowl this year.  They both had okay seasons but not Pro Bowl seasons.  Vince Young didn’t even start until week 6.  Garrard had one of his worst seasons statistically, but when 5 people in front of you pull out of the game then it shows you how watered down the quarterback position is.  On the other side of the coin, well deserving players like Cedric Benson and Thomas Jones  are still being snubbed for a Pro Bowl spot.  And that’s just the AFC!  There has to be some way to remedy this situation, and I think that I have a couple of ideas that could revamp the Pro Bowl.

 As football fans across the globe cast their longing eyes in the direction of the April draft, I decided that now might be a good time to reflect on draft classes of the last 10 years. Too often in this business, we rush ahead to the next big event without taking pause to evaluate the past and learn from it. In a way, this study will still be a celebration of the coming 2009 draft as I believe it will shed some light on certain overlooked trends that no one ever stops to consider. I will begin with a class by class showdown of sorts at the quarterback position over the last 10 drafts.  This is part II in the series:
