ining ten players are:  Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Adrian Peterson, Andre Johnson, Drew Brees, Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Troy Polomalu, Darrell Revis, and Julius Peppers.  Despite their impressive résumés, it is not hard to make an argument that DeMarcus Ware is a better football player than either Andre Johnson or Julius Peppers (Andre Johnson is a Man Beast and this ass whipping alone might put him in my top 10).  But it is hard to make a comparison between DeMarcus Ware and Johnson because they play completely different positions and I don't have a problem with having one wide receiver in the top 10 (even though offensive lineman get no such respect).  But any direct comparison between DeMarcus Ware and Julius Peppers reveals that Ware's rating is nothing short of a travesty.  I understand that Julius Peppers is an athletic freak, but doesn't it bother any of these players that he doesn't have his motor going every game, that he dogs it some plays and that he has been virtually eliminated from games on many occasions?  It's quite evident that his regular season stat line is not that impressive, but he was a complete non-factor in the playoffs (0 sacks, 4 tackles).  How we can say that Peppers is a top 10 player is way beyond me and I frankly demand a recount.

fense is to read.  He is not alone in this, as Tony and TO have express this very thing.  Ray Lewis said as much before the last home game at Texas Stadium, then went out and proved it.  While this may be true, and the departure of Tony Sparano appears to have hurt the Cowboys more that we know, we don't need our team players broadcasting it out for all to hear.  I respect what Roy has said, but enough already.  Take it to the team, take it to the coach, if you're concern is valid, i'm sure he'll do something about it.  It's his job.  And if he can't, then he needs to be replaced.  Wade has made the promise.  Not many believe him.  I for one, have to give him the benefit of the doubt simply because we don't have any other options.  We, as fans, have no say.  It's all up to JJ, and he's blazed a trail for the last 13 years.  Not one playoff win.  No satisfaction.  So until JJ wakes up and realizes, "Wait a minute, I fired Tom Landry and Tex Shramm for the same reason!"  We're all screwed.  They can look great on paper all they want.  Paper don't win Championships.  Defense does, as the Cardinals painfully proved a few weeks ago.

On Saturday night, the Cowboys had a golden opportunity to close out Texas Stadium in style.  This was the final game to be played at the stadium.  A Cowboys win would have been a fitting end to a stadium that has had many classic games.  A win, and the Cowboys would have been one step further in their quest for a playoff berth, and a Super Bowl run.

Each week, on Friday, I will look into my (never wrong, just misinformed) crystal ball and give my predictions for that weekend’s games.  I will always prognosticate on the Eagles and Cowboys games and then pick two or more games of interest (to me, that is, not necessarily to you).  Keep in mind, that this is for entertainment purposes only, and that I do not endorse any sort of legal or illegal gambling.  That being said…let’s see what’s in my crystal ball!

He is a cunning and talented field general with winning in his blood.  As only a freshman at the University of Miami Lewis compiled 81 tackles, two sacks, two tackles for loss, and four pass blocks in addition to being named to the freshman All-American team.In his sophomore season, Lewis earned 1st team All-American and All-Big East. Lewis led the conference with 152 tackles, nine tackles for a loss, two sacks, and an interception.Lewis was once again named to All American and Big East honors in his junior year. He lead the Big East in tackles, was the runner up for the Butkis Award, and set the record for the second most tackles in Hurricane history with 160 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 interceptions, four blocked passes and a touchdown.
