The first year I ever watched a Super Bowl was after the 1996 season, when the Green Bay Packers (whom I, ironically, as a Vikings fan, was rooting for) beat the New England Patriots thanks in large part to a kickoff return by Desmond Howard for a touchdown to open the second half (if my memory serves me right).

8-Albert Haynesworth-DT, Tennessee Titans

The big fella at the heart of the intimidating Tennessee defense is the most versatile defensive tackle in the league. Albert plugs running lanes with his raw size and keen understanding of positioning, but he can also get after the quarterback with surprising speed.

fs for both leagues offers a host of great matchups, Vikings or no Vikings...

Baltimore Ravens at Tennessee Titans: Despite being the #1 seed in the AFC and cruising through the regular season, I think the Titans will fall to the Ravens on Saturday.  The Ravens always have that ability to completely shut down an opponent's rushing game, and if they happens to the Titans they are toast. Prediction: Ravens 24, Titans 19

Than came Week 15 against rivals Tennessee Titans at home. A Texans fan couldn't seriously think the Texans had much of a chance against the first place Jeff Fisher coached team.

However, Kerry Collins had a bad day as he missed left and right and the Texans defense played and chipped away at the Titans offense the entire game. The Titans could have taken the lead late in the game with a 50 yard field-goal, but coach Jeff Fisher decided to go for it on a 4th and short. Titans drew up a passing play, but the Texans forced a incompletion. Fisher said the wind made him change his mind about having Bironas kick the field goal. Texans escaped with a narrow 13-12 victory. A close win, but a gigantic one at the same time!

A 1-point win never seemed so mammoth.

Yesterday the Houston Texans defeated the Tennessee Titans 13-12 in front of a jam-packed crowd at Reliant Stadium. With the win the Texans evened their season record at 7-7 and recorded their first 4 game winning streak in franchise history. Playoff chances have been done for weeks, but the Texans are still playing tough and like a team with a lot on the line.

his year to a similar 1998 NFC dominating force...

For those of you who may not know, this year's Tennessee Titans football team is currently 11-1 and pretty much blowing away the competition in the entire AFC right now.  I find this very interesting, as it reminds me of the 1998 Vikings, who went 15-1 and had a resurgence much like the Titans right now.  There are three areas in which I see similarities...

top 5 draft pick!

Titans 24 Jaguars 14

Everything is working for the Tennessee Titans. They have kept their composure all season. Down 14-3 yesterday to AFC South rivals Jacksonville, they bounced back and continued what they've been doing all season: playing great defense, running the ball, passing with accuracy. I really thought the Jaguars would snap the streak at 9. I also thought Green Bay and Chicago had a shot the weeks before. But time and time again the Titans have proved me wrong. This team has the parts to go all the way. It's clearly shaping up to be a Titans/Giants Superbowl, but it's still way to early to predict that far down the road. We still have several weeks of football to be played.

bout the American Football Conference this season is…

Drum roll please…

The Tennessee Titans at a whopping 9-0 currently! This is surprising, but not the real surprise! The real surprise is Quarterback Kerry Collins! Leading an undefeated, AFC leading Titans squad! Unbelievable! Collins couldn’t get out of his own way in New York or Oakland, and now he is undefeated! Herein lays the weirdness.

Not to mention that his Tennessee Titans are the only undefeated team in the league right now sitting at 6-0. Not bad for a second round, # 45 pick.

continues to get more disappointing.

Winners - Indianapolis Colts

2) Tennessee Titans @ Jacksonville Jaguars

The Titans have been the best team in football record wise all year now they take their undefeated record into Jacksonville to take on the 4-5 Jaguars. I've picked the Titans to lose the last two weeks in my yahoo picks, but for some reason my gut is picking them again to lose this week. Now if the Titans win again, I'll have to strangle my gut and put it in a choke hold. A couple of reasons I think the Titans could lose this one: 1) Titans will not go undefeated forever. 2) The Jaguars have had some shaky bumps in the road this season and I think the team will play hard for Coach Del Rio this week against Division opponents Tennessee.

NFC East

Week 6

Hello East Fans,

Well after a week of Hiatus to curse the football gods for my team’s embarrassing losses. I felt a preview of the Best division in Football was the only way to quench the thirst. Every team in the division except for Washington is on the road, let’s start with the leaders of the pack.

The Crying Game

The Terrell Owens story

Hello NFL fans,

Well here we are, week four of the third year with his last team. This will be his last team, I truly believe that. If I were an owner I would rather get a letter full of anthrax and then imprisoned IN Cuba to spend the rest of my days. The continuous onslaught of reporters and fans condemning my name and wanting my head on a stick would be too much for me to bare.
