" It's becoming more and more flag football, two hand touch" Thank you Troy Polamalu. Just so you know, Troy is arguably the best safety in the NFL. Troy is the definition of the systematic destruction of anything and everything in the way, even his own body. Just hit something, even if it's your own teammate. Here is a four time pro bowl safety speaking out against the " let's not hurt anyone " NFL. Could ya take defense out of the game just a little more!!! Maybe I'm biased, I'm the 10-7 in the 4th quarter, bloody, body parts hanging, kicking, screaming, clawing in 20 degree weather with so much mud that you can't tell who is who football fan. Time Of Possession, Field Position, Turnovers and Penalties!!!! These are the BIG FOUR in football. Statistics have proven that winning three of these four categories ups your odds of walking away with a W. The past few weeks there have been some questionable calls in the NFL. Fines have been levied, refs have been punished, THE TIDES HAVE RISEN AND THE END OF EXISTECE IS AT HAND!!! I've heard from so many fans "That call effected the outcome of the game" One question. I'd venture a guess that this week and every week forever & a day, the boys will establish the run. One of the first things out of Wade Phillips mouth during his Monday press conference was, "We didn't run the ball enough." Some sports reporter asked if 8 in the box was overrated. Phillip's reply, "We stacked 8 in the box, and they still ran the ball effectively" The first 3 games of the regular season the Cowboys used Barber, Jones and that big offensive line to perfection. I've written a few blogs without formerly introducing myself. I'm the self appointed armchair quarterback/head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. I'm not Mr. Educated and fancy book learning when it comes to the correct way of writing. I didn't land a scholarship to some prestigious Ivy League school for my award winning thesis about saving the environment and the world. " Headed up north sucka, cause I wanna be a Cowboy baby " This week it's the Packers with no blizzards in the forecast. If your a Cowboy fan there's a collective sigh of relief because we all know mixing the Boys and snow is a recipe for disaster, or comedy. Anyway, the Packers have looked solid so far, but I have to say this and ya know it's true. Not playing the Lions this week Mike. I say that in jest of course. Lol !!! But in all seriousness, your not playing Detroit. Granted, the Packers are at home which is always an advantage but outgunning the Boys at home or away is a pretty massive undertaking. One question.....Explain to me the reasoning of winning the toss and deferring it. In the Monday night game against the Eagles, the Boys won the toss and deferred it to the Eagles. I wanted to pull my hair out!!!! And you know what? The Eagles drove down the field and took a 3-0 lead. Now you're behind. By three only, but you're behind. Well, let's see, 6 minutes in the first are gone now. Six minutes you could have controlled and maybe turned into eight. If you win the toss, take the football!!!! It's a gift. It's free. This week it's the Eagles. Let me say, just for the record. Who cares!! Forget about the NFC East rivalry and that it's the Eagles. I think it's real important to remember it's BUSINESS, it's not personal. Across the line of scrimmage it's just another football player for some other football team. And ya know what? They're standing in the way of history and they need to be systematically removed for that reason and that reason only. I left the most important pieces of the puzzle out of my click, click, boom blog on purpose. I wanted to write an entire blog for the Big Dawgs up front, i.e the offensive line. Can you say DOMINATION!!! I think we can. Romo could have done another ESPN commercial in the time he had to throw the football. Darn, I could have played QB. Well, maybe not. But anyway, the BIG DAWGS showed where football games are won. In the trenches!!!! That's right folks, If you can't control the line of scrimmage, just sit on the bench and drink Gatorade.
