Game # 3

" Headed up north sucka, cause I wanna be a Cowboy baby "  This week it's the Packers with no blizzards in the forecast.  If your a Cowboy fan there's a collective sigh of relief because we all know mixing the Boys and snow is a recipe for disaster, or comedy.  Anyway, the Packers have looked solid so far, but I have to say this and ya know it's true.  Not playing the Lions this week Mike.  I say that in jest of course. Lol !!!  But in all seriousness, your not playing Detroit.  Granted, the Packers are at home which is always an advantage but outgunning the Boys at home or away is a pretty massive undertaking.  Just ask the Eagles, who are stacked this year.  Statistically both teams are pretty evenly matched.  The Boys are 4th in pts scored with 34.5, 2nd in yds gained with 433.5, pass yds they're 3rd with 316 and rush yds 117 which is 14th.  The Packers are 3rd, 6th, 9th and 11th comparatively. But I have to point out that the Packs averages are in part due to the fact that they faced the Lions Defence who is 32nd in pts allowed, 31st in yds allowed, 25th in pass yds allowed and 32nd against the run.  This is a statistic worth mentioning.  Think about it, there is only 32 defences in the entire league and the Pack faced the worst Defence in the NFL last week.  The only reason I bring this up is I don't think the Packs offense is as stout as some may think.  Like I said outgunning the Boys is going to be tough.  Romo hasn't been sacked yet and if he's got protection he'll shred any secondary in the NFL.  The Pack gave up 25 pts to the Lions.  How many you think they'll give up to the Boys?  May be a thumping coming on. Peace-Mark

  1. Mark, I like your post, and I agree with you mostly.  This week though, I have a bad feeling.  The Cowboys usually have a big let down after a big win.  It will be a fun and exciting game, but in the end Green Bay will get the win in a wild (and maybe contriversial) ending...at least that's what my crystal ball says anyway?
