Kudos Troy, And No, Not Aikman
" It's becoming more and more flag football, two hand touch" Thank you Troy Polamalu. Just so you know, Troy is arguably the best safety in the NFL. Troy is the definition of the systematic destruction of anything and everything in the way, even his own body. Just hit something, even if it's your own teammate. Here is a four time pro bowl safety speaking out against the " let's not hurt anyone " NFL. Could ya take defense out of the game just a little more!!! Maybe I'm biased, I'm the 10-7 in the 4th quarter, bloody, body parts hanging, kicking, screaming, clawing in 20 degree weather with so much mud that you can't tell who is who football fan. Defence BABY!!!!! What's the saying? Defense wins championships. Ya think? Is there some guy in the dark corners of the NFL offices who sucked real bad at football? You know, the dude the Budweiser commercial is talking about....the guy with issues from his pop Warner days. At age 12, some other 12 year old knocked him into a 10 second coma and from that day forward he vowed to change things. You know, level the playing field so the top 1% are penalized for being good. Let us paint a picture. You take 11 guys and put them on a field and tell them, " Tackle the guy with the football, but be reeeeeeal careful " If your not careful enough it's a PENALTY, so you either never do it again, or you get real pissed and do it again even better than the first time. Come on!!! I understand you have to have an element of safety. But a 10, 000 dollar fine for tapping a QB's helmet is a bit Nancy Pansy, isn't it? Polamalu believes that defensive players may hesitate because of worries of a routine tackle leading to a fine. As I said, taking defense out of the game. Watch college and high school football. Talk about hitting!!!! Now that's football. Why change it at the highest level? Go figure, I can't. Peace-Mark
