Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins Sunday Sept. 28, 2008 posted on 09/26/2008
This Week the Dallas Cowboys will play the Washington Redskins at Texas Stadium. It's the 82nd time these two teams meet Dallas leads the series 50-31. Both teams are playing well this year and should prove to be another great NFC East battle. Notable Cowboys out this week are SS Roy Williams (Forearm), G Kyle Kosier (foot) and FB Deon Anderson (Knee). Since Roy Williams has proven in the past few years that he cannot cover Santana Moss his loss might be a blessing in disguise this week since Anthony Henry and Pat Watkins(probable, neck) seem more up to the task of containing him on the long ball. The additions of Adam "pacman" Jones and first round draft pick Mike Jenkins should also help neutralize this menace known as Moss that has plagued the Cowboys secondary on numerous occasions the past few seasons. Out for the Redskins is DE Jason Taylor(calf) so expect a few more runs than passes from Dallas. This is a good thing for former Razorback Felix Jones who should have ample opportunity to prove why he was and should have been drafted over the fumble prone Rashard Mendenhall.Especially, since Marion Barber only averages 3.3 yds a carry vs. Washington. As long as the Cowboys can contain Santana Moss and Clinton Portis ,the only runner to rush for more than 100 yds against the cowboys last year, and keep the pressure on a young Jason Cambell this should be another win for Big D. Terrell Owens only needs two touchdowns to tie Marshall Faulk for fourth on the all-time touchdown list and don't think he and Tony Romo don't know it.
